Busy Busy Busy

I am so busy now, but love my work!! Marek is loving his new daycare, it is great and is so close. He has gotten his top two front teeth and is working on another. He crawls all over and is hard to keep up with sometimes. He can stand for a few seconds on his own, but is not all that interested in walking. I can not believe that he is almost 1, it is crazy!! We will be celebrating his baptisim in about a month. I am glad that we are finally getting that taken care of.

We went to the mountains last weekend, it was awesome. We got to use the backpack that we got off craigslist for hiking. Marek seemed to really enjoy it. I know that Josh and I did, we are ready to go back. We are going to try to get in one more trip to the ocean before the season is over. I can't believe that last year when we went to the beach Marek was not here yet. I don't even remember what it was like before he was here.

I will try to update this again, but I literally have no free time. I was working on work last night unitl 12:00, not the best way to spend a friday night :)

Growing up

Well I finally had to bite the bullet and take down the mobile and the bumper pads. Marek is getting so big now and is pulling himself up in his crib. I am sure it was only a matter of days before he figured out that he could use the bumpers and the mobile to get out of his crib. These days Josh and I are doing a lot of chasing, Marek is very fast at crawling now. He is all over the place and seems to gravitate to the least safe thing in the room first. I have already rescued a dime from his mouth and he seems to find things everywhere. I am very excited to be heading back to MN for a week!!!! I can't wait for everyone to see Marek and for him to get some good quality time with family. And even when we get back, Elizabeth is coming to visit to help out while I start my new job. I need extra help because I will be a single mother for 2.5 weeks. I tried it out last week, it was hard, but now too bad. I just didn't think i could do it and start a new job.
Marek is also talking a lot now. He says da da and occasionally ma ma. He doesn't really now what he is saying, but it is still cute. HE does a lot of chattering too. I will try to get pictures up here soon.

JOB!!!!

I am finally a 2nd grade Teacher!!! I have been waiting for this for soooo long. I am very excited about this opportunity. We are now working on childcare for Marek. I would love to keep him where he is, but we can not afford it!! Other then this, there is not that much going on in NC. Hopefully Marek and I will be making it home before I start my new job.
Marek is getting so much bigger everyday. He had learned to feed himself, and is so proud of it. He can pick things up and get them to his mouth now. He pulls himself up on everything, and has started cruising along furniture. I got a new camera from my awesome father-in-law (thank you sooo much) So hopefully I will figure out how to post pictures on here soon.

Back to Work

Well the vacation was awesome and much needed. KY was fun and we got to see everyone at least for a little while. Marek got to meet Great Grandma Burgess, she called him little Josh. So, I guess that settles that, he looks like his dad. I just hope he does not act like his dad. We watched some old videos and Josh was a little hyper. Marek also got to go for his first Golf Cart ride. Josh's cousin was in an accident that left him partially paralyzed and with vision problems, and he is the proud owner of an 8000 dollar golf cart. It is the nicest golf cart I have ever seen , and Marek went for a couple rides in it. I was nervous at first, but relaxed and let him have fun. He loved when Papa drove, but daddy drove a little too fast :)
We went swimming a couple times in Aunt Debbie's pool, Marek loved it. He loves the water and has no fear. He is the only baby I have ever met that loves to be splashed in the face. He just cracks up when you splash him, it is so cute. We have a small pool at home for him but have yet to try it, I am sure he will love it.
When we got back we had a couple days before daddy came home. I had a second Interview at a charter school, we are still waiting to hear anything on that (pray). We hung out and did some shopping (which I am sure Marek loved) and waited for daddy to get home. I a have decided that Marek is NOT a shopper, he decided to poop all over everytime we walked into a store.
We celebrated Marek's first 4th of July, it was great. We went to Carrboro to the festival that they had there. There was music and food, and lots of stuff to play with. Next year he will be much more able to enjoy it. We watched the fireworks at Kenan Stadium. They were awesome. It is cool to be so close to the action. They were loud though, but Marek was a Rock Star, he jumped at the first one and then just watched the rest of the time. I have some pictures and video that I will try to upload at some point.
I guess this is a long enough post for now. Since we are back in civilization I should be able to update more often. If anyones how to reattach a backspace key, let me know. I have learned that Marek is not allowed near the computer :)

Kentucky here we com

Josh left today and is driving to KY, it should take about 10 hours. Marek and I leave tomorrow morning at 7:15, we are flying. I am very excited that we are not trying to drive with Marek for 10 hours. We are all very excited to see Grandma Burgess and the rest of the Burgess clan. I am very excited to spend a whole week with my men!!

Marek learned to blow raspberries last night. He is very proud of himself. And with all the drool from his teeth, it is quite a site. He has also been pulling up on EVERYTHING. at the rate he is going I bet he will be crawling before he is a year.

Check back to see how the Kentucky trip went!

Hey all, I am not sure if anyone is even reading this yet, but oh well. It was Josh's first Fathers Day yesterday and we had a great day. Marek and i got up early to make daddy breakfast in bed. We all had pancakes in bed and then took a nap. We went to Franklin for a walk and Ice Cream. We took Marek to the Children's Museum while we were down there. It is free on Sundays, he LOVED it. He played in the infant area for over an hour. Then we went out for some Italian food which was really good. I want to take my mom there the next time she comes because it is a lot like Macaroni Grill.

We are working on baby proofing the house, we are going to pick up a gate tonight and also getting some stuff to put on the fire place. Marek is everywhere now, he really keeps us on our toes. He loves electrical wires, which are not the safest toys for many reasons. He will crawl through all his toys to get the the cords. It is a lot of fun now that he is moving though.

We are headed to KY next week to visit family. Marek will finally get to meet Great Grandma Burgess. IT will also be her Birthday while we are there. We are excited to see everyone and spend Grandma's birthday with her.

Ok we are going to try this again. I think this may be easier then the other site. I will try to keep up some on the other site too, but I really want to post more often and think this may be easier. Well Marek is getting very big! He is crawling now and is into everything!! He surprises me everyday with something new. This is such a great stage. I love him so much and he is an awesome baby. I could not ask for a better baby. I am a little worried that he will be walking soon, he has started to pull himself up too, he is very strong.

We were just back in MN for the LaClaw wedding (which was amazing). Everyone got to see Marek, he went to Ethan's graduation party while we were at the wedding. He really loves Elizabeth! We are hoping that aunt Elizabeth will come a visit us this summer. Josh is going to be away a lot and it would be nice to have someone here.

NC is getting hot, but it is nice too. I am curious to see the hurricane season this year with all the wild weather lately. We are excited to be going to KY next week to visit Josh's family for a week. Grandma Burgess has not met Marek yet and is waiting to see him.

Josh and Marek are having a boys night tonight since mommy has a dinner for work. We will see how this goes, they are going to a Bulls game. Good thing Marek likes baseball!!

Check back later for more updates! :)
