Back to Work

Well the vacation was awesome and much needed. KY was fun and we got to see everyone at least for a little while. Marek got to meet Great Grandma Burgess, she called him little Josh. So, I guess that settles that, he looks like his dad. I just hope he does not act like his dad. We watched some old videos and Josh was a little hyper. Marek also got to go for his first Golf Cart ride. Josh's cousin was in an accident that left him partially paralyzed and with vision problems, and he is the proud owner of an 8000 dollar golf cart. It is the nicest golf cart I have ever seen , and Marek went for a couple rides in it. I was nervous at first, but relaxed and let him have fun. He loved when Papa drove, but daddy drove a little too fast :)
We went swimming a couple times in Aunt Debbie's pool, Marek loved it. He loves the water and has no fear. He is the only baby I have ever met that loves to be splashed in the face. He just cracks up when you splash him, it is so cute. We have a small pool at home for him but have yet to try it, I am sure he will love it.
When we got back we had a couple days before daddy came home. I had a second Interview at a charter school, we are still waiting to hear anything on that (pray). We hung out and did some shopping (which I am sure Marek loved) and waited for daddy to get home. I a have decided that Marek is NOT a shopper, he decided to poop all over everytime we walked into a store.
We celebrated Marek's first 4th of July, it was great. We went to Carrboro to the festival that they had there. There was music and food, and lots of stuff to play with. Next year he will be much more able to enjoy it. We watched the fireworks at Kenan Stadium. They were awesome. It is cool to be so close to the action. They were loud though, but Marek was a Rock Star, he jumped at the first one and then just watched the rest of the time. I have some pictures and video that I will try to upload at some point.
I guess this is a long enough post for now. Since we are back in civilization I should be able to update more often. If anyones how to reattach a backspace key, let me know. I have learned that Marek is not allowed near the computer :)
